Meet Melissa

Licensed Psychologist · Maryland

Dr. Melissa Brenner is a licensed psychologist specializing in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and eating disorders, guiding individuals to regain control of their lives through evidence-based therapy in a warm and compassionate environment.

Her doctoral residency and fellowship at Duke University provided specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS), along with a comprehensive background in addressing complex mental health challenges.

What sets her practice apart is the integration of empirically supported treatments with a genuinely warm approach — combining effective interventions with psychoeducation so clients understand their own mental health and achieve lasting, meaningful results.

With eight years of clinical experience, Melissa works with preteens, teens, and adults in individual therapy. She is an ally to LGBTQ+ clients and single parents.
